Ornaments of Honor

Everyone has heard of a Christmas tree, but what about an Education Tree? The Seguin Education Foundation is hosting its annual Ornaments of Honor celebration on Saturday, December 10 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the SISD Central Office at 1221 E. Kingsbury Street.

Personalized golden ornaments can be purchased for $5 each to honor teachers, students, family or friends. The ornaments will feature an attached card with the names of both the giver and the recipient where they will be displayed on the Education Trees at the SISD Central Office. Honorees will receive their ornaments prior to the holiday break.

Santa and his elves will attend the celebration and will be handing out candy canes. Participants are encouraged to bring their cameras for photos with Santa. Children can make Christmas cards for family and friends at a craft table, and the event will also feature performances by the Seguin ISD school choruses and a bake sale. New this year is a Scholastic Book Fair from 9am – 2pm. Come buy books for you, your family, and friends! Literacy always makes a great gift!

Ornaments are available for purchase at the Christmas celebration on December 10, or by emailing the Foundation at katieedwards@seguin.k12.tx.us. The Seguin Education Foundation will also be accepting donations. All proceeds go to the Seguin Education Foundation to provide new and exciting instructional programs for students enrolled in the Seguin ISD.
