Innovative Ideas Classroom Grants

Since 2004, the Seguin Education Foundation has provided 72 grants totaling over $200,000, including $35,600 that was given in the Fall of 2011. The Foundation funds creative teacher initiated projects enhancing instruction and enriching learning. The Foundation would love to do more!

These grants support a variety of projects at campuses throughout the Seguin Independent School District. Grants that have been awarded have provided Seguin ISD students with new, creative opportunities that current funding would not allow.

The main goal of the SEF Grants Program is to support teachers in their efforts to provide their students with unique experiences that they will remember for a lifetime, that will help them be better students, and hopefully develop a sense of pride and commitment to their education and Seguin ISD.

With cuts in funding, teachers do not have available funds to do creative projects and often pull money from their own pockets to support these efforts. Seguin Education Foundation believes in the importance of unique experiences and in the teachers who provide them.
